We love podcasting. We’ve spent years perfecting the DIY production process, and building our ideal podcast studio set up.
The goal of Third Wheel is to take the production, tech, and editing (I.E. the not so fun part) off your hands. If you’re trying to build a successful podcast, you’re going to want to focus on the show, and building your audience.
You can walk into Third Wheel, meet with your producer, tell them about your project, and then focus on your show while our experienced production team takes care of all the Audio/Video production.
The Story
LIKE MOST PODCASTERS - WE STARTED IN A LIVING ROOM
Mike Masilotti and Nolan Culver are both touring stand up comedians, and the Co-Founders of Third Wheel Podcast Studio.
Third Wheel is a podcast recording studio that was birthed in Mike's apartment in 2019. Along with Nolan, they built a top of the line DIY studio to produce their own podcasts.
After numerous inquiries to use the studio from fellow podcasters, the idea to open up the studio to the public became the obvious next move.
Once they found a home for the studio in the beautiful Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles, they opened the doors to the public, and have had the privilege to produce some of LA's most successful podcasts ever since.
In 2022, they’ve moved into a much larger location in the heart of Hollywood and added an 11-foot LED wall to the room set up for custom backgrounds.
Third Wheel expanded to their second location in Seattle, WA in January 2021, and in April 2023 we opened our third (Wheel?) location in West Los Angeles!
Los ANgeles Studio
The OG studio was located on Wilshire Boulevard in a 48 square foot office.
You read that right. Our first studio was in a room that would be considered a small closet by some people.
We made it work though, and within the first few months of opening we were producing podcasts for influential comedians, musicians, influencers, athletes and so many more.
We’ve since moved to MUCH bigger and better space in the heart of Hollywood and added an 11 foot LED wall for custom looks. But we aren’t stopping there and can guarantee we’ll continue to find new ways to improve our production and be on the cutting edge.

SEATTLE sTUDIO
We opened our Seattle location in January 2021.
We’ve been so fortunate to work with some of most wonderful people in the Seattle podcast scene.
Our first location was actually in Greenlake where we started producing podcasts for some of Seattle’s most talented and delightful podcasters.
In May 2022, we decided to upgrade our space and we moved to our current location in U-district.
West Los angeles Studio
Our third location located in Playa Vista, CA - About 10 minutes from LAX.
We opened our west LA spot in April 2023 and quickly got a chance to work with some wonderful new creative podcasters on the westside of Los Angeles.
We’re stoked to bring the best podcast production quality and experience to new and established podcasters in the greater Los Angeles area!
